Third Post - Retrospectiveness

As mentioned in the first post, both 笨蛋s are very absent-minded people. Their memories tend to appear randomly and thus the events registered in this blog may not always be in chronological order.

Recollection #1 - CNY gathering 2010

The two 笨蛋s volunteered to buy dim sum and sushi for the occasion. (Before your story telling ability sets in, there's nothing 笨蛋 about volunteering to buy food. Read on....) The 2 笨蛋s first set off to buy the sushi since they are pak toring at JP. Having calculated to cater the sushi for 30+ people, the 2 笨蛋s decided to order 2 big boxes of sushi from the sushi shop. Having skilled in carrying multiple bags on 2 hands (all learned from the weekly marketing training), carrying the 2 big boxes of sushi posed no problem for both of them. *v* However, as both boxes are quite bulky, both 笨蛋s had some trouble ensuring the sushi inside the boxes stay in their original shape.

The food shopping ended with the purchase of another 3 small boxes of dim sum from a nearby food court. Here comes the 笨蛋 part..... after lugging all the big and small boxes home, both 笨蛋 realized that there is actually an ordering hotline for the sushi to be delivered to the desired location from the sushi shop. As a 'reward' for missing the hotline, both 笨蛋s had to grab and hug all the food in big big plastic bags to the gathering.

Moral of the story: Always make full use of the available pair of eyes for spying/surveying the surroundings. Look out especially for magical telephone numbers, any 4 adjacent digits of a long string of numbers, shoe sizes, bus stop numbers....... you never know when these numbers can help you lighten your load or in the best case scenario, help you strike 4D....

Recollection #2 - A trip to the bank

As a filial son, 大笨蛋 is used to accompanying his mum on shopping trips to JP. Sometimes during these shopping trips, his mum will also update the bank account books. Focusing onto one of the usual shopping trips in 2010, 大笨蛋 was tasked to do the 'honor' of updating the bank account books. Thinking nothing much of the action to feed the machine, 大笨蛋 just took the bank books out of their casing and slot them into the machine. Here comes the 笨蛋 part... the machine, upon receiving the bank books, will normally make a lot of noise to show that it is doing its work. However on that particular moment when 大笨蛋 inserted the books, the machine stayed silent.... both books are stuck in the slot catered for only 1 book. 大笨蛋 had done the 'impossible' of slotting 2 books into the machine. Instead of an instant update of the books, 大笨蛋's mum had to wait for 2 weeks for the return of the books. Sigh.

Moral of the story: Always design the slot for the bank book updating machine to only and ONLY accept 1 bank book. Also, to allow added security favored by most banks, there must be instructions to tell the user to follow the work procedures of bank teller aunties ---> lick your thumb, apply pressure, feel and confirm that you have taken only 1 book from the casing, then insert the book into the machine for instant updates.

Recollection #3 - Going out

This incident happened only to 大笨蛋. Looking at the entries in this post, it seems that 大笨蛋 is more 笨蛋 as of now... Back to the story... it's one of those 'need to rush out of home to meet friends because we are late again' times some weeks back. 大笨蛋, after beautifying his appearance, was all ready to go out... then comes the 笨蛋 part... feeling weird at his neck area, 大笨蛋 realized that his shirt was worn on the wrong side and had to risk messing his 美美 hair style to wear the shirt properly.

Moral of the story: Buy t-shirts with duo design both front and back. They have same size t-shirts such as uni-sex, why not have t-shirts with both front and back the same cuttings...

Second post

Both 笨蛋s always like to back date their entries as they are mostly absent minded of the 笨 蛋 things they had done.... duh duh duh duh...... *_*

Saturday, 25 Sep 2010:

小笨蛋was busy with her schedule the whole day; wedding lunch at Goodwood Park followed by a trip to visit her fellow classmate, who just gave birth, in CCK. So following the usual habit of both 笨蛋s to 摸 here 摸 there before leaving the house, 小笨蛋 has to 'bua' sun block lotion on her pretty face before embarking on her journey for the day. 大笨蛋, having nothing to do, decided to help speed things up for 小笨蛋. So in a smooth and well planned motion, he took up the tube of sun block lotion, remove the cap, squeeze squeeze a bit to test the lotion outflow and apply the flowing lotion onto 小笨蛋's face. Then came the 笨蛋 part......

Although the sun block lotion comes in a hard tube, its content is smooth flowing. So when 大笨蛋 decided his squeezing force is adequate, the lotion starts to flow --- in large amount --- out of the hard tube. ARgh... In the end, with his whole hands full of lotions, 大笨蛋 had to 'bua' some 3 days worth of sun block lotion onto his usually good skin. =)

Moral of the story: Never squeeze the tube front and back, you have to squeeze it sideways to prevent overflowing.

Night of Saturday, 25 Sep 2010:

Location: shopping at JP for present, sports shop selling bottles, bags and shoes. Focus item: An addidas bag hanging HIGH up on the display rack.

With no shop assistants around, both 笨蛋s took turns to try taking the bag down from its hook. If there's a camera at that moment, taking shots at them tip-toeing, stretching fully to reach the bag, it will definitely make it to the show JUST FOR LAUGH!

The situation was resolved when 大笨蛋 called for help and the assistant casually took a pole just behind both 笨蛋s and unhooked the bag from its rack. Hmmm.... here goes the 2 笨蛋大学生 again....

Moral of the story: Always act cool until help is available. Don't act smart.

First Post

The 笨蛋ness started when 大笨蛋 and 小笨蛋 got married in Dec 2009. As the days go by, the 笨蛋ness begin to worsen until 大笨蛋 decided set up a blog to document all the 笨蛋 things both of them did. This blog serves to remind both 笨蛋s how 笨蛋 they are and thus aiming to reduce similar instances in the future. \*o*/

Sunday, 19 Sep 2010:

Both 笨蛋s decided to go for a run as they have been slacking for too long. On top of running, they are also asked to run errands to buy milk and bread. So these 2 dum dums set off happily for their healthy lifestyle routine, bringing 10 bucks with them, assuming this amount to be enough for their grocery list. The running was smooth and both of them perspired as required by their standards.

Once at the supermarket, both dum dums agreed to get 1 isotonic drink to quench their thirst. Then came the milk, and instead of buying 1, both dum dum ended up buying a twin pack which cost cheaper of course. Then 大笨蛋 saw something he gien... the peach pudding!!!

Thinking 10 bucks is enough for all items, both dum dums happily proceed to the cashier for payment. The 笨蛋 moment came when the cashier starts to key in the 2nd item and 大笨蛋 suddenly realized the total bill burst their budget. Panicking, both 笨蛋s gave up their isotonic drink. With 70 cents left, both 笨蛋s have to sacrifice the bread and in the end have to make another trip to a nearby petrol station to top up the bread, wasting time and money in the end.

Moral of the story: Pls give up the peach puddings when you realize you have burst your budget during marketing.
